In District 2 incumbent Carl L Olson led 1668 to 1578 after 56 votes for Olson and 21 for Stewart Brown, a 90 vote margin. In District 3 William G Smith and Bennie Herboldsheimer split the eight to eight mail vote, maintaining Smith’s eight vote lead as unofficial counts continued Wednesday morning.

Mrs. Clarence Chambers Dead After 41 Years Invalid Life
Mrs. Clarence S. Chambers 73 of Sidney died at home Sunday after a long illness. She had been bedfast for 41 years and was born November 21 1888. Survived by husband two daughters two sons a brother four sisters nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral Wednesday at 2 30 pm at Christ Episcopal Church with Rev Charles Fred Parks officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery Gehri g and Son in charge. Heart Fund memorial named.

Pickup Rolls Over on Dead End Road Near Hand's Corner
A pickup suffered an estimated 250 dollars in damage after overturning on a dead end county road seven and a half miles east of Hand's Corner at 9 p.m. Sunday. Trooper Felix Knig said Verle L. Taylor of Scottsbluff was driving northbound and tried to turn west when the vehicle went off the dead end and rolled onto its top. The driver was not injured and summoned help from a nearby farm.
