Brakes can lock or grab on slick winter roads
Chief Sol Willis cites brakes that grab or pull as a danger on icy streets and urges drivers to test brakes on dry pavement at low speed with no nearby traffic. If brakes grab or pull, have a competent mechanic inspect lining and adjustment. Proper braking and technique keep traffic moving in winter.
