Three new drilling locations, two wildcats, were announced this week for Cheyenne County. Ohio Oil Co. Uptegrove No 2 struck gas in D sand on the Mar Lowe High northeast of Sidney. In Kimball County Smith Enders well may flow. an offset will be drilled to test the structure. In Deuel County Ohio Oil Co. completed its first gas well and is drilling another hoping for an oil ring. In Logan County Colo a new oil pool was found west of Sterling.

Sgt LaVerne Anthony, after a year in Korea, is released from the Army and will resume his Telegraph duties on November 18. He arrived in Seattle October 25 and was discharged at Camp Carson Colorado.
