Comparing SHS council with Australian Prefect system
The piece contrasts Sidney High School's elected class representatives with Australia's Prefects elected from the Matriculation class. Prefects wield broad power, including discipline and detention, supervise lunch-hour cleanups, and oversee four houses led by House Captains. The head master, not the principal, is the ultimate authority, yet goals align: represent, govern, and meet student needs.
