Marriage of Julia Sanders to George W Moore at Sidney
Julia Sanders daughter of Mr and Mrs J Sanders married George W Moore on Wednesday evening May 27 at the Sidney residence. Miss Anna Stuht sang and Grace Gilpin played the wedding march. Rev R E Gilpin performed the ceremony. The couple, soon to Colorado for a short wedding trip, will reside in this city. The groom is a popular barber and the bride noted for many accomplishments.

Commencement Exercises At Sidney High School
The Sidney high school commencement filled the operas house last Saturday with Nile green and white decor and four graduates each bearing a white rose. Speakers included Miss Rodeene Britton Miss Glenn Pierce Miss Jennie Oldershaw Miss Grace Gilpin and Hon. James L. McIntosh who awarded diplomas and urged literary study as the class dispersed after a benediction by Rev J Leamer.

The Sidney High School Alumni banquet for the graduates and guests filled K of P hall with green and white colors and national flags. Leslie Netbauer opened as alumni president, followed by Grace Gilpin’s reply and a program of solos recitations readings a mandolin and guitar duet and a graphophone music feature managed by Rudolph Kruse. Toasts by E. E. Hiett Prof. Danforth Miss Britton Miss Pierce and Mrs Knox closed the evening as guests partook of a lavish buffet before departing.

Sidney Band Organized at Court House Meeting
The Sidney band was formed on Tuesday evening at the court house. H. T. Doran was elected president and general manager, Ernest Kruse treasurer, A. O. Nichols secretary, and F. W. Vath musical director. The group aims for about fifteen players with current members listed and regular practice set for Tuesday and Friday evenings.

Hold Up Shocks Small City. Baker Sam Weisenquist Attacked
A hold up occurred near Front street at about 10 30 p m injuring baker Sam Weisenquist who was struck with a chair leg and robbed of a pocketbook about 20 watch and 6 in silver. Marshal Stubt led a posse that rounded up about 15 hobos but found no solid suspects. Local talent is suspected and another attempted robbery against John Daugherty occurred last Monday night.
