Julesburg To Host Colorado Sand Green Championship
Julesburg will host the second annual Colorado State Sand Green Golf Championship on May 31 and June 1 at Julesburg Country Club. Entries close May 31 at noon. practice this week. The event, sanctioned by the Colorado Golf Association, features 18 holes daily with 27 holes for the championship flight on Sunday and trophies for medalists and top finishers.

Horse Clinic Set At Sidney June 4 For 4-H Members
A 4-H horse clinic will be held at Cheyenne County Fairgrounds Sidney on Wednesday starting 9 30 a m. Richard Warren University of Nebraska animal science professor leads sessions on equipment fitting and 1969 show rules with halter judging grooming and a film from the American Horse Show. Afternoon includes basic training demonstrations and a Western event showcase by Clover Leaf Drovers and Sidney Wranglers riders. The Cheyenne County Invitational Horse Show is set for June 22 in Sidney.

Baseball Day Set for Sidney June 7 with Booster Stickers
June 7 is Baseball Day in Sidney announced by Les Couch. 11- to 14-year-old players report at 8:00 a.m. to collect booster stickers sold for $1 to fund the local youth program. A kickoff at Legion Park follows with introductions and a six-team T ball exhibition, ages seven and eight, played on a two-inning basis.

Sidney pool to open Friday for 1969 season
The Sidney Municipal Swimming Pool opens Memorial Day Friday May 30 for the 1969 season. Hours are 1 30 to 7 p m daily through summer with unchanged admission 20c for ages6 12 35c for 13 18 and 50c for adults. An adults only opening at 12 30 p m every Tuesday is probationary. Lifesaving classes run June 4 10 at 8 a m with 1 registration plus 80c for a book. Swimming lessons run June 16 to August 1. registration June 12 13 in the park west of the pool with a 1 registration fee.
