Cheyenne County held graduation exercises Wednesday at the opera house with ninety students from twenty seven districts represented. Activities included a group photo, speeches, medals, and an address on Qualities that Win by Benjamin F. Robinson. Genevieve Bentley won first in scholarship. Clyde Brady second. Clara Laing first in scholarship. Erwin Spitzbart second. Potter dominated honors. diplomas presented by Superintendent Braham.

Daylight hold up ends with money recovered
Morris Jessen, a ranch worker headed to file on a homestead, was ambushed by hoboes at daylight near the fair grounds. He was gagged and bound with baling wire, fifty dollars taken from his shoes before he freed himself and flagged help. Sheriff and posse chased suspects between Sidney and Potter, recovering the stolen money. Court outcome pending.

City Council Overrules Liquor Remonstrances in Sidney May 1916

The Referee sold 1700 acres of Scheel estate land at the county courthouse on May 22. L R Barlow of Lodgepole acted as referee and Senator B E Placek of Wahoo was Scheel attorney. Terms: 50 percent cash and balance as real estate mortgages at six percent for three to five years. Transfers include several parcels to Walters Bentley Isenberger and Scheel heirs. Also, Reverend Thomas of Wyoming dined with Rev Pinkham and attended the Ladies Guild.

Remonstrances Heard Against Saloon Applicants in Sidney
