The Bayard Bank reported a warrant for Louis Cochren on obtaining money under false pretenses after he borrowed 100 dollars with six head of cattle as security. Cochren fled to Deadwood, SD, was jailed there, then moved to Alliance and Sidney where he remained on 4800 bond awaiting district court. Decoration Day events are planned for Thursday May 30 with a procession from the K of P Hall to the cemeteries and memorial services by the W R C and other groups ending with 2 o clock exercises at the Opera House.
