Howard Riewe earns valedictory honors for the Sidney High School senior class with Judith Townsend as salutatorian and Carol Grage as third in a 1952 milestone. Depot worker badly injured at Sioux Ordnance Depot
Martin Frahm, 1030 Rose, Sidney, an Inspection Office employee at Sioux Ordnance Depot, suffered a serious on-the-job injury while inspecting a farm tractor with a boom. Believed he activated the motor while standing between wheels as the left in low gear and started. he was run over and taken to Memorial Hospital with severe chest and other injuries.

Mrs. Perry Dies At 58. Rites Set In Sidney
Mrs. Lester Perry died Thursday at Cheyenne County Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at First Methodist Church in Sidney with Rev. R. L. Townsend officiating. Burial will be in The Chapel of the Chimes in Oakland, California. Survivors include Lester Perry, a daughter Jean A. Kirby of San Lorenzo, California, a son Stanley R. Perry of Lincoln, Nebraska, two granddaughters, and a sister Mary Van Valkenburg of Seaside, California.

Explosion wrecks home owned by Sidney couple in Tryon Neb
Rev and Mrs John I Neal were called to Tryon Tuesday when a heater exploded in a house owned by them and occupied by the John Leeds family. Injured were Mrs John Leeds her son Dallas six and Mrs L D Nicholson 91 who lived with the family. All three hospitalized in North Platte. Leeds daughter Kendalin seven months old suffered no serious injuries though her crib was shattered. The Neals were guests of their son in law and daughter Mr and Mrs Martin Smolik and visited the injured at the hospital.

Frontier Airlines signals final authorization to begin service to Nebraska, South Dakota, and Missouri will come after the CAB Seven States decision. Bridgeport Celebrates 82nd Camp Clarke Bridge Opening
Bridgeport prepares for a crowd at Camp Clarke Day marking the 82nd anniversary of the Old Camp Clarke bridge opening in May 1876. The first North Platte river crossing linked Sidley with Black Hills gold fields and Indian agencies. Henry T. Clarke of Bellevue promoted the bridge and ran stage, Pony Express service on the Old Deadwood Trail.
