Gas Pipeline To Be Built In Colorado
Natural Gas Producers Inc announces plans to build a 12 inch gas pipeline from Logan County oil fields to Denver at an estimated cost of 2 338 000. The line would carry 50 million cubic feet daily and source gas from multiple Logan County pools and from Pawnee Creek in Weld County and Lee in Morgan County. It would be the first sizable natural gas outlet in the Colorado section of the Denver Julesburg basin with taps possible along the route for future towns or industries. The line could be completed early in 1953 pending Colorado Public Utilities Commission approval and right of way acquisition. pipe supply may delay completion beyond the first of 1953.

Leonard Suchsland of Longmont Colorado has been named superintendent of the Dalton Consolidated School replacing Lowell Baumunk who will take another post in Wray Colorado. Suchsland 31 will assume duties August 1 after five years as a math science teacher and team coach at Longmont with past teaching stints in Iowa and Estes Park. He served three years in the air force during World War II and earned a Master’s in educational administration from the University of Colorado Boulder in June last year. He is married with two children. Also named on staff is William E Harris who will replace Alvin Schwalm as coach. Harris a Denver University graduate will live in Sidney Colorado this summer while working as golf pro at the Sidney Country Club.
