Wallace Oosterhoudt has completed a large modern residence on the north side with hard wood and waxed floors, baths, electric lights, water heating, a reading room, and a two story veranda. The west side houses a private residence while the east offers seventeen furnished bedrooms and baths to rent by day or month with on call bus service and first class guest service.

Extra Meeting at Mrs Shoe maker’s Home

Last Friday evening a Mother’s meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Shoemaker. music included Martha Greenlee instrumental solo and vocal duets by Mrs. Pate with Mrs. FB Ahrens and Miss Fleming with Miss Diextra. Prof Pate spoke on motherhood and fatherhood. audience praised his talk and a light lunch was served. A free will offering funded a drinking fountain.

Sidney Wins First Game Defeats Kimball on Local Diamond

Sidney defeats Kimball 9 to 4 in the season opener on the local grounds. Mayor Ziebert pitched the first ball and Attorney W. P. Miles homered, while Kimball pitcher Jim Rodman kept the visitors close before Sidney’s seven players scoring in the seventh inning turned the tide amid a large out of town crowd. The two teams plan a return game in Kimball on the 29th.

Weddings Tie Lincoln City Couples in Denver and Sidney

Mr. Charles H. Lloyd and Miss L Ada White of Denver wed at the Methodist Episcopal parsonage with Rev Zinnecker officiating. The couple, accompanied by Mr Lee C Kurtz and Miss Lillie E Greiner, will tour Europe after leaving Denver May 19 and planning to visit England and France. In Sidney, on May 16, Bessie Viola Cox wed Henry William Erdwin at the home of J H Cox with Rev Henry Zinnecker officiating. Erdwin, a homestead worker near Peets Colorado, marries Cox to share life and labor on the frontier.

Bankers Meet in North Platte With Cody Ranch Outing

Delegates were conveyed in autos to Col Cody's ranch where they were hosted by Mrs Cody and her daughter. Speeches featured wit and suggestions. Mothers Day Observance at Methodist Church in Sidney

The May 8 service on the Ministry of Woman at Center Church drew a full house. Rev Zinneck er praised mothers and handed out white carnations to each attendee, marking Sidney's first formal observance of the custom and inspiring reverence for mothers.
