H V Lile Sr president of the corporation flew from Kansas City to address Sidney leaders at the Ft Sidney Hotel. He thanked the community for supporting the Sidney Business Institute and said homes are needed for girls arriving in three weeks. By fall 1965 about 125 students expected. by fall 1966 about 250. He described girls as high type and willing to work for room and board while pursuing education. Lile urged interested families to call 4 5808 to discuss hosting a student.

Ben Berges Recovering From Korea Jeep Accident
Mrs. Ben Berges learns her husband, a government ammunition inspector in Korea, is recovering satisfactorily from a serious May 10 jeep crash. The jeep overturned after sliding on two wheels then capsized and dragged them beneath before hitting a tree. Berges sustained five broken ribs and extensive abrasions, with the driver badly cut. He will be laid up for some time at Sioux Army Depot after a one year tour in Korea.

Little Red Fox Reunited With Robison Family
The Keith Robison family of 2611 Monterey Drive happily reclaimed their two month old fox Little Red Monday afternoon just as Sidney Police were about to relocate him. Neighbors mistook him for wild when he dug out of the rain softened soil under a fence and wandered into town. Police had him in a cage for the weekend. The fox is from a litter found on a Sturgis South Dakota ranch tied to the Robisons’ brother Schaff who kept two for pets and gave one to Custer State Park.

Meysenburg dies at 83 in Columbus Nebraska
Mr. Meysenburg died Tuesday morning in Columbus after six months of ill health. Rites set for 9:30 a.m. at St. Marys Church with burial in David City cemetery. Surviving: wife Amelia, five daughters, three sons, 24 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. He is mourned by Henry Jr. of Sidney and other family members.
