Sidney girls claim first state track title as Schrock wins 100 dash
Kathy Schrock, sophomore from Sid ney High, won the Class B 100 yard dash in 11.4, becoming the school’s first girls state track champion. Tammy Fish set a school record in the mile and placed sixth in the event, while Beth Gretch narrowly missed the 100. Other Class B standouts included Trudy John of Gering and Anjie Morse in the mile and Laurie Schadegg in discus.
