New Street Lights On Set Along Tenth Avenue

Infant Dies At Gering Interment In Sidney
Infant daughter of Mr and Mrs George C Gemmer died at Gering after only a few hours. Funeral services were held at Rice funeral home in Sidney with Rev J J Sheaff of the Methodist church officiating. Interment followed in Greenwood cemetery Sidney.

Liquor Sale By Drink And Package 15 Given Support At Meeting

More Seed Oats Are Received This Week
A second carload of 1500 bushels of government seed oats arrived in Sidney today for distribution from the Farmers elevator. Farmers may file applications at the county agent's office for the desired amount. some applications are already on file and may collect at the elevator. First Communion To Be Given On Sunday

Funeral for Charles Edward Ward Held at Rice Funeral Home
Charles Edward Ward died Thursday in Peru area. Funeral services at Rice Funeral Home at nine this morning with Rev J J Sheaff officiating. Remains to be taken to Forest Hill Maryland for interment. He is survived by son C E Ward of Sidney, daughter Myrtle Clark of Omaha, 12 grandchildren, and was last of 11 in his family. He was born February 19 1854 in Hartford Maryland. He married Kate Grafton in 1878.

The Nebraska experiment station reports six year tests showing sorghum atlas variety outperforming corn for fodder and silage. Atlas yields reach 5.54 tons per acre of cured fodder and 18.85 tons silage at 75 percent moisture vs 2.32 and 7.89 tons for corn. Seed supply should be increased in 1935 due to seed mislabeling in 1934.

Elmer Jensen Dead In Sidney Heart Ailment Survivor List
Elmer M Jensen 35 died in a local hospital after a week with a heart ailment. A Council Bluffs Iowa native, he moved to Sidney seven years ago to work as a barber and later as a farm-hand on the Connelly farm west of Sidney. He is survived by his wife a daughter Patsy Ruth his parents four brothers and four sisters. The body was shipped to Council Bluffs by Gehrig funeral service.
