Mrs D Earnhardt of Cheyenne visits her sister Mrs L Jessen and plans to visit her brothers Hugh and Will Moore. Superintendent WJ Braham went to Kearney Thursday and then Arnold for part of the State Declamatory contest. He will miss tonight’s program. C P Grant won the Schroll store building contract at Lodgepole for 3800 dollars after eight bids.
Neubauer will add a new front to his store building currently housing Leon Fine’s fashion shop. The entrance will sit between two large windows, a notable improvement over the former layout.
Mrs Henry Bangert and her daughter Ethel spent Saturday in Omaha visiting shopping emporiums. At the regular meeting of Frank Welch Lodge No 75 A F and A M on May 4th, officers were elected for the ensuing term: F G Griffith W M J W Harper S W K Agnew J W H E Gapen Treasurer L Neubauer Secretary.
A. B. Wood, editor of the Gering Courier, called on the Telegraph while in town. He serves as vice president of the Nebraska Christian Missionary Society, which held its convention Tuesday and Wednesday. W. P. Miles was named to the state semi centennial observation committee, a group of 100 prominent Nebraskans. Nebraska joined the Union a half century ago on March 1, 1917, and the State Historical Society plans a fitting celebration.
