Ray Rya son former publisher of The Bridgeport News Blade died last Saturday at his home in Douglas Wyoming. Funeral services were held at two p m today in Bridgeport with burial in the Oregon Trail Cemetery.

Stramit Demonstrates Fire Resistance at State School
About 1,200 firefighters witnessed a Stramit display at Grand Island during the state fire school. Dean Hiner of Midwest Stramit Corp showcased a 4x8 Stramit structure with a plywood panel, tires, wood and jet fuel, which burned inside but where Stramit panels resisted heat longer before the building caved in. Earlier a Stramit test shack burned for 25 minutes, yet its outer surface stayed cool to the touch. Hiner praised the turnout and interest in the demonstration.

Dust Storm Howling Through Tuesday Gusts Hit 50 MPH
A south east wind roared Tuesday evening driving dust and reducing visibility to under a rifle. The storm lasted from 7 p m to midnight with 25 to 35 mph gusts. Temperatures ranged 44 to 84 degrees with cool, cloudy morning and a light trace of precipitation. Gusts moved east toward Grand Island and Lincoln amid severe weather forecasts including possible tornadoes.

Six Year Old Injured When Hit By Auto
Terri Siegrist a six year old girl from Ordville was seriously injured when struck by a 1957 Pontiac driven by Margaret Rodriguez 17 of Ordville on Arapahoe Street. She sustained a compound fracture of the lower jaw and a lacerated lower lip and was taken to Memorial Hospital in the Sioux Army Depot ambulance.
