Closman village marshal and street commissioner, re appointed T F Wiser as special marshal, and H A Brockaway as cemetery sexton. They also urged Union Pacific to widen Oak street crossing and ordered dog tax collection with tags.

Close of the Bronson School Provides A Lively Evening
A Friday program at the Bronson school house featured literary and musical exercises directed by Mrs. James Morris who has led the school for three years. The event drew a large audience including Sidney delegates and included quartet pieces, violin solos, children’s recitations, a Bird dialogue, a Perse family sketch A Vase of Hype and Red Riding Hood by Lyngholm children.

Practical Gas Co Seeks Sidney Gas Plant Light
C J Colby of Omaha for Practical Gas Co urged Sidney citizens to install a cold process gas plant using wasoline. He outlined costs 4000 to 7000 dollars and suggested ten year bonds at six percent. A Sidney meeting at the Court House heard letters from Albion Central City and North Platte projects and a committee was urged to visit Albion.

Union Institute to Be Held in Sidney Across Four Counties
Four Nebraska counties Cheyenne Banner Kimball and Scotts Bluff organize an eight site Union Normal Institute to run five weeks from June 2 with a six week feel due to Saturday sessions. About 125 teachers are expected with a $2 fee plus county funds totaling around $600 for a first class summer school under State Superintendent Fowler. Noted instructors include Dr E A Hatch Chancellor Andrews Huntington W A Clark Norris Brown H M Eaton Edna D Bullock and Dr Jacques Redway will teach for one week.

Sheriff S H Babb took Joe Keller to Harrisburg to testify in Yount horse theft case. Mrs Andrew Struthers, Sidney native, died April 24 in Ogden Utah. remains to North Platte and burial beside her husband. Mr and Mrs Struthers accompanied the casket.

Sidney contingent returned Sunday from the Ogalalla meeting of the Western Nebraska Educational association. The hosts opened their homes and entertained visitors royally. J. C. Orr was elected president and Miss Eunice Babbett secretary, both residents of North Platte, where the next annual meeting will be held.
