Louis Grage, who delivered the first letter on Sidney's city carrier route, has retired after nearly 30 years of civil service. He left the post office to tend a farm and plans some travel, receiving a Samsonite suitcase as a farewell gift from colleagues. Grage came from Iowa after World War I, joined July 1, 1921, under Postmaster J. L. Pindell, alongside Albert Green, witnessing Sidney's growth firsthand.

Resurfacing Of No. 19 Planned In Nebraska
Nebraska highway department announced summer work on Highway 19 from Morrill County line to Huntsman and seven miles toward the Colorado line.
