They said Higgins saw no reason for further personnel reductions and that the depot is certified as a permanent installation. Senators Curtis Hruska and Rep Miller attended the conference.

Harry Harden 60 Dies Suddenly at Peetz Home
Harry F Harden 60 former Sidney resident died suddenly yesterday morning at his Peetz home. A Burlington railroad employee, he and his family moved to Peetz in December 1955 after eight years in Sidney. Born May 8 1897 in Council Grove Kansas, he served in World War I. Survivors include his wife Dorothy two daughters Mrs Lloyd White of Olathe Kansas and Mrs Frank Logan of Los Angeles four sons Harry of Emporia Kan Douglas of Fort Campbell Ky John of Madison N J and James at home and one grandson. Cruz Mortuary handling arrangements.

Randy Rice Bruised In Two-Car Accident
Two car collision on Highway 19 south of Gurley involved Dale L. Rice of Sidney and Alton C Zimmer man of Gurley. Zimmer man skidded into the opposite lane causing Rice’s car to strike it. Mrs Dale Rice recovering from non serious injuries. Their one year old son Randy severely bruised about the head but with no internal injuries or broken bones per physicians.
