Marion Bell Concert Turns Into a Farce in Sidney
A "bonus" concert by tenor Frank Hornaday will follow a disappointing Marion Bell recital in Sidney. Bell, amid tears and off notes, left the stage after initial success, with three long intermissions while officials and audience wondered what troubled the soprano. Richard Hughes accompanied well, and Hornaday’s later program offers a hopeful finale to the Civic Music series.
