Deadline April first for Clarke McNary trees
Applications for trees under the Clarke McNary Act are due by April first. W Watkins of the extension service will finalize summaries after that date and plan tree shipments for the planting season. Eastern Nebraska will receive trees first, with shipments likely around April five from Lincoln. A few thousand mixed species including elm lo cust caragana catalpa cottonwood and pines remain available.
