A community auction sale will be held on Saturday April 6 at 10:00 A M on the lots north of the Lindley Store organized by Lodgepole residents and the Helping Hand Society. Proceeds aid building a Legion Hall for the local and armed forces. Also noted are moves of residents to California and Los Angeles, local club meetings, and updates on community events and visits.

Lorenzo Club met Thursday with Mrs Harve Jacobson of Sidney and Mrs John Williams as guest. The afternoon featured visiting and lunch. Twin girls Marlene May and Darlene Kay were born March 14 at Roche Hospital to Floyd and Floyd Miller of Lodgepole, mother Frances Meier. Additional items include deaths, visits, and a Lorenzo High School program on March 28.

A large crowd attended the sale in Sidney Tuesday. Pvt. Raymond Tilghman reported transfer to Atlanta, Georgia. G. W. Bonser of Sterling visited the Joe Oliverius farm. Mrs. D. E. Dickinson spent time with Ed Ahlberg. Louie Hrbek made a business call at Steve Tilghman’s. The Dickinsons moved closer to Clarence Ottosen’s farm. William Karg hauled fertilizer from Ed Ahlberg. Infant Kenneth Dickinson ill but improving. Bonser underwent gall bladder surgery in Sterling. Reiken and family moved to the Anton Oliverius farm. Oliverius plan to relocate to Sidney. Pvt Billie Tilghman at Fort Leavenworth.

How to Save Tomatoes From Frost
One way to save tomatoes from frost is to pull up the whole vine with the tomatoes attached and hang it in a dry moderately lit place such as the garage. Tomatoes will keep fairly well this way for a few weeks. The mature green fruits will gradually ripen on the vine.
