Assessor Meeting Sets Cheyenne Values and Appoints Officers
Cheyenne county assessors gathered at the Court House for their annual meeting to fix values on taxable property. They elected Jas. O’Kane chairman and B. E. Wagner secretary, set one third actual value for property, and approved various rates for horses, cattle, sheep, hogs, and land. They also agreed to collect farming statistics required by the State Labor Industrial Statistics office, despite no compensation, to obtain reliable data on local agriculture.
