Pleasant Valley Wind Storm Pins Down Wires and Visitors
A severe wind storm Sunday night and Monday knocked down telephone lines isolating neighbors. Farmers fixed the wires as residents, including Mrs. J. R. Simpson and family, hosted visitors and noted illnesses. A Non-partisan League meeting in Sterling drew locals and speakers. Ervin and Melvin Simpson and their brides were toasted at a large family gathering with many attendees from nearby towns and distant places.
