A Tuesday vote approved the courthouse bonds of 75000 dollars with 960 ballots cast. Chambers precinct backed the bonds, while Lodgepole and others also supported. Four precincts named their advisory committee members, including Wm. Goding and C. P. Chambers.

A Monday evening collision near Lodgepole left Bert Bates with several broken ribs and A W Atkins with a broken leg after an auto load including Leo Osborn Bert Bates A W Atkins Ernest Stuht went into a creek when a road bridge blocked the way. Ernest Stuht was thrown clear and summoned help as the others were extricated. Osborn escaped unharmed.
Government stock inspector Dr. Ellis completed herd inspections in Cheyenne County on Wednesday. He found nine infected herds and judged overall conditions satisfactory, indicating scabbies are nearly eliminated and with care these nine herds can become clean and disease free.
The moving picture show at the opera house continues after weeks of exhibits and draws good nightly audiences. Barlow and wife performed Wednesday night for the last time in vaudeville here, to be followed by illustrated music for a spell. C. C. Callahan and wife traveled to Omaha for Dr. Stowitte’s funeral.

Dr. Arthur D Stowitts, born December 17, 1862 in Montgomery County New York, died March 18 1910 at Omaha Methodist Hospital after an operation for auditory canal trouble. He lived twenty years in Sidney building a large practice and served as assistant surgeon for the Union Pacific Railroad. Survived by widow and three daughters Marguerite Dorothy and Helen, and three brothers. Funeral held March 15, 1910 at Trinity Cathedral Omaha. Pallbearers from Sidney and Omaha included local officials and society members. The obituary praises his charity and cheerful demeanor, noting universal sorrow at his passing.

The south dam of the Julesburg reservoir washed out early Friday, flooding the valley.
