Mrs Frahm Dies At 85 In Seattle Burial in Greenwood
Marie Frahm 85 longtime Sidney resident died Saturday in Seattle Washington. Funeral services Thursday at Gehrig and Son Funeral Home with Rev Harlan Brei officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Born Marie Mumm April 4 1884 in Hondroff Germany she married Henry Frahm in 1906 and came to the United States in 1908. The family lived in Omaha and Ogallala before settling in Sidney in 1940. Her husband died in 1949 and she moved to Seattle in 1952 to live with son William. Surviving are sons Henry and William, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. one son Martin preceded her in death.

Mrs Virginia Woertendyke 61 died after a months long illness at her sister's home south of Sidney. Services are 10 am Tuesday at Gehrig Memorial Church with Rev M E Douglas officiating. Burial is in New York after cremation in Denver. Surviving are her husband two sons two daughters two sisters and a brother. Memorials go to the cancer fund.

Sidney Police reported two Sunday wrecks. At 10 a.m. near 14th and Jackson Delores Williams backed into Charles Smiths parked car with no damage estimates. At 6:50 p.m. on 12th Avenue Robert Rupps northbound car was hit in the right rear by Kenneth Smiths vehicle. about 400 dollars damage to the Smith car and 500 dollars to the Rupp vehicle.

At 7 p.m. Saturday a 1969 Jeep driven by George Elwood 52 rolled on a curve near Sidney. he wore a seat belt and had bruises. Damage about 1000 dollars. At 8:15 p.m. Sunday two vehicles collided on Slick highway near Sidney after a 1965 Dodge skidded on ice. Allan Seltzer 40 of Las Vegas drove a 1967 Chevrolet panel car. Damage 700 dollars total.

Speeding Violator Held on Probation Violation
A Cleveland man, David L. Nupp, 21, is held in Kimball County jail on probation violation and auto theft by conversion after a speeding stop on Highway 30 near Kimball at 11:30 p.m. Friday. Nupp, driving a Hertz Chicago rental, was en route to California. three companions were not detained. He faced arraignment on the speeding charge in Kimball County Court.
