Four Advantages Cited To Growers In Feed Program
Growers joining the 1963 feed grain program gain four benefits says Herbert Krauter chairman of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation County Committee. Benefits include price support for 1963 corn sorghum and barley, guaranteed income from diverted acres, price support on established yields, and an advance diversion payment at signup upon request. Participating growers must reduce corn sorghum and barley by at least 20 percent of base acreage and devote diverted land to conserving use beyond normal conserving acres.
