Attack on School Matron Leads to Assault Charge
Mrs. F. M. Knight was arraigned in Alliance on charges of assault with intent to inflict great bodily injury after an attack on police matron Mrs. L. H. Highland at a junior high school. Highland is reported in critical condition with a broken hip and bruises. Knight, who sought a meeting about disciplining her daughter, pleaded not guilty and a preliminary hearing was set for March 21. Knight was released on a $300 bond.
