The Sidney Jaycee Wrestling team swept nine championships in open division and qualified 11 more for the state Jaycee Wrestling Tournament on March 22 in Lexington. The district tournament at Sidney Junior High School Auditorium drew entrants from Sidney Ogallala Gering North Platte with McCook absent due to weather. The Game Commission explains the Clear Creek Waterfowl Management Area in Lincoln houses a captive goose flock fed and checked year round. After hunting seasons end, baiting draws wild waterfowl for trapping and banding. Crops and browse support geese, not harvested for feed.
