A public concert at Dalton Presbyterian Church showcases the new Reuter pipe organ on Sunday at 7 30 pm. Joel Kramer will perform the demonstration, dedicating the memorial instrument to Benton Lyle Walker. The organ, built by Reuter of Lawrence Kansas, contains 316 pipes and features Philippine mahogany wood pipes with a white oak console. Wagner Named Aide To Governor In Nebraska Appointment
Paul F. Wagner editor of the Dakota County Star in South Sioux City is named Administrative Assistant to Governor Val Peterson. He succeeds James S. Pittenger as secretary of state after Frank Marsh died. Dick Bowell a St Sidney student at the University of Wyoming in Laramie is in Fort Collins hospital recovering from injuries after a car crash Monday north of Fort Collins. He has a fractured ankle. Powell Maxfield Osborn and another student were returning from Greeley when their car overturned on the icy highway. Another student suffered a fractured shoulder and Osborn a sprained ankle. Powell's parents Mr and Mrs W D Powell are in Fort Collins with him. Mr and Mrs Jesse Osborn spent Tuesday there returning to Sidney Tuesday night. Max is on crutches but attended classes Wednesday.

Mrs. Mary Edwards aged 79 a Dalton area homesteader died February 24 in Seattle Washington after a long illness Funeral services were conducted February 27 at St James Cathedral Seattle She was born in 1871 in Ireland came to the United States at 17 and married William E Edwards at Hartwell Nebraska They settled on a Dalton farm in 1906 later moving to Seattle in 1929 Mr Edwards died in 1944.
