Panhandle basketball season lacks standout team
The 1965-66 Panhandle Nebraska season produced no strong statewide contender. Bridgeport led with a 19-4 record in Class B but faced slim chances at Lincoln. Grant beat Bayard to earn a regional berth, while Classes A C D failed to deliver contenders. Still, high crowds and sportsmanship kept the spirit alive for next year.
