Youth Fined After Throwing Of Knife
Mike Meehan of Sidney, about 21, was fined 25 dollars and costs after pleading guilty to a disturbance charge in police court. Police Chief Sol Willis said Meehan admitted throwing a table knife toward a cafe employee at the Overland Cafe, saying he threw it in anger and not at anyone in particular. The knife struck a ledger on the cafe counter.

Motorist Faces Arraignment After Crossing Closed Rail Gate
Potter resident Raphael Muth 21 of Kimball was to be arraigned in Cheyenne County Court after allegedly driving a 12 ton oil field truck around a closed Union Pacific gate at 8 21 a m yesterday. Nebraska patrolman Mel Busekist said witnesses placed the truck just as a south track cleared and a north bound streamliner roared by narrowly missing a collision. Cheyenne County Attorney Pat Heaton Jr said Muth will be prosecuted under a statute making crossings of tracks against signals and closed gates a violation of law.

Oil workers hurt when car overturns north of Potter
Two Sterling oil field workers Virgil Price 32 and Slim Cox sustained non fatal injuries when the car they rode in missed a curve and overturned 121 miles north of Potter. Driver Dale Reinhardt 19 of Sterling was not injured.
