Willis Abbott of Sidney and Arnold Cahow, a student at Sidney Occupational Training School, reconnected after 35 years. Abbott, a depot guard, spotted Cahow’s likeness and they renewed their old Chapman Nebraska friendship amid shared memories. Abbott served in World War II and worked at Sioux since 1949. Cahow, from Lincoln, previously lived in Imperial and worked at Hastings and Mead Depots.

Funeral services for Donald A. Roth, 53, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Gehrig & Son Funeral home. The Very Rev. Vincent Pelster of St. Patrick's Church will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Roth died Sunday at Evanston Wye where he was employed. He was born July 17, 1911, in Sidney to Charles and Margaret Roth. Surviving are his mother Mrs. Margaret Roth of Cheyenne Wyoming, three brothers Kenneth of Cheyenne, Charles Jr. of New York City and Doyle of Sidney. He was preceded in death by his father.

Two Injured In Auto Crash Near Tenth and Newton
Norbert H. Loebe age 56 of 1520 Cedar suffered head injuries when his 1965 Ford panel truck collided with a car driven by 19 year old David B. Kile at the Tenth and Newton Street intersection. Kile sustained an arm injury and was charged with reckless driving. Police estimated $700 damage to Loebe’s vehicle and $400 to Kile’s. A second accident caused minor damage when Betty Jane Fine’s 1965 Cadillac hit Ida Schroeder’s car near Eighth and Jackson. damage estimated at $40 to Fine’s car, Schroeder’s car undetermined. No injuries and no arrests in the second crash.

Albin Olson Recovering After Abdominal Surgery in Florida
Albin Olson is recuperating at Brevard County Hospital in Melbourne Florida after abdominal surgery Friday night. He was listed in critical condition earlier but is now improved. Mr and Mrs Olson arrived a week ago Friday to visit their son in law and daughter Mr and Mrs Emil Hess. Mr Olson became ill the following day and was hospitalized on Wednesday.

Two men in Wyoming were charged with the October 12 1964 burglary of First State Bank Lodgepole taking more than 1400 dollars. Jack Oliver Dailey 39 and Arthur E Orcutt 55 faced federal complaints in Omaha Nebraska.
