Oktoberfest to Expand for 1977 Festival in Sidney
The third annual Oktoberfest in Sidney will be bigger with a larger tent in Legion Park and two beer gardens. New mug options include 200 dozen red letter glass mugs and 12 dozen aluminum tankards, plus 500 beer buckets. Licenses will be sought for beer sales, with church groups also applying. Committees for entertainment, security, youth activities, art show, and food booths are named, and space reservations are urged as arts and crafts areas fill quickly. The festival runs Sept 30 to Oct 2 with extended Friday and Saturday hours and Sunday hours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Oktoberfest committee meets biweekly, next on July 12.
