Two July fourth celebrations will be staged here this year with choices at the county fair grounds near Krueger's lake. The Krueger brothers head the Krueger lake program featuring wild west rodeo, water sports, a big dance July 3 and 4, parking plots, and picnic spots. Also on the card are a Sidney Lodge Polo baseball clash, a bull fight, and a baseball game between Bunker Hill and Ovid Colo. Ovid's fast club is in the Denver Post tourney.

N K Williamson of St Joseph Missouri a son in law of Mayor and Mrs Herman Schroeder of Sidney was found dead Thursday morning June 19 in a sitting position at the wheel of his car about 15 miles east of Gallatin. Death blamed on heart trouble. Williamson a traveling representative for Kirschbaum Creamery of Omaha had resided in Humboldt about four years. Funeral held in Humboldt with Odd Fellows burial. Survived by widow two daughters Shirley Anne and Betty Louise parents Mr and Mrs Charles Williamson and a brother Clinton Williamson.

Theatre managers at the Rocky Mountain convention announced plans to spend one million dollars this year on theatre improvements across Colorado Wyoming New Mexico and Nebraska. Highway Group Meeting to Discuss Routing June 30
Members of the Denver-Black Hills highway association will gather in Alliance on June 30 to discuss further plans for the proposed highway route. President Walter Hager of Chadron issued the call through secretary Harry T. Sly. Black Hills and Nebraska points north of Alliance are expected to attend, with the meeting held alongside the Alliance chamber of commerce gathering. A map of the project will be distributed along the route.

Air excursion party lands in Sidney amid big turnout
A Nebraska statewide air tour visited Sidney yesterday on day four of the flight drawing several thousand spectators. More than 40 airplanes filled the field south of town as pilots guided ships from Scottsbluff at 65 miles with a four hour stay. One tri motor dropped out at Scottsbluff and a Fokker diverted to Chicago. Len Hinshaw reported minor damage near Long Pine, while passenger Billy Hamilton sustained slight injuries. Nellie Willhite is the sole woman pilot. over 1900 gallons of fuel were used at the stop, with Skelly fuel supplied by M W Osborn Motor Co. A civic banquet welcomed the group at the country club.

Gene Foster a 30 year old Dalton native and World War veteran was critically injured when the gravel truck he was piloting flipped into a ditch north of Dalton on Wednesday. He suffered a serious left leg fracture a dislocated right hip amputated toes and chest injuries. Foster is hospitalized in Dalton with possible transfer to Denver for treatment. arrangements were made by Sidney American Legion. Foster is survived by wife and three children and is son of merchant Newt Foster. Witnesses reported the crash with the truck severely damaged.
