Doctor Dorwart retires after forty years in Sidney
In 1937 Dr. C B Dorwart arrived in Sidney after Creighton University training and two residency years. He practiced with Roche, then O Halloran, and solo since 1971. A five term mayor and longtime councilman, he delivered about 2500 babies and helped shape Memorial Hospital. He plans golf and gardening in retirement.

Harvest offices to open at Grant and Chappell
The Department of Labor Division of Employment announces harvest offices to open in Grant on the east side of Highway 61 and in Ogallala at the 76 Station area. A Sidney office will follow later, with operations covering Kimball Cheyenne and Deuel counties. Wheat outlook is average to better in most areas with earlier ripening in the south.
