Cheyenne County Sheriff Oren Cox reports a second break in this month at Wheeler's on East Highway 30. A sizeable amount of merchandise was stolen but dollar figures and exact items remain undisclosed. Forcible entry noted. state patrol and Sidney police assist in investigation. Antique cars stop in Sidney on Midwest Bicentennial Tour
About 20 antique automobiles are set to arrive in Sidney around 1 30 p.m. Tuesday June 22 as part of the 1976 Midwest Bicentennial Tour sponsored by the Lincoln Highway Discovery Committee based in Davenport Iowa. Organizer Dr Alan Hathaway says the group will dine in Sidney with cars on display and he will drive a 1915 Ford racer. The tour crosses Illinois Iowa and Nebraska ending in Cheyenne.

Five Sidney residents will meet a Scottsbluff draftsman Monday to draft a downtown park mall project. They seek cost figures from Rich Goss and city engineers as plans to close 10th Street at Illinois and Hickory, remove the Oberteider building, and turn the area into a parking lot take shape.
