R. M. McCandless of Lexington arrived in Sidney this week to plan moving his family here soon. He will succeed K. C. Lasseter as manager of Western Public Service Company. Lasseter, who came from Holdrege in 1934, has been transferred to Savannah Electric and Power Company in Savannah Ga and expects to leave this month. Mrs Lasseter is a Savannah native. Glen Doyle a 17 year old Texas youth held in county jail here faces assault with intent to rob charges. He allegedly stole a car after leaving Tyler Texas while paroled from the state industrial school. Doyle admitted taking the car and abandoning it about 40 miles from St Louis Missouri. He showed desire to be returned to Texas to face parole breaking actions but county officials plan to prosecute him here for the brutal attack on Victor Hernandez. Accident Victim Relapses After East Sidney Crash
Mrs Rebeccah Cowan of Chicago injured in an automobile crash seven miles east of Sidney on Monday morning was placed under an oxygen tent on Wednesday as a heart ailment raised pneumonia fears. She was not seriously hurt but the condition caused concern. Mrs Esther Fink of Los Angeles, hurt in the same crash, was dismissed Wednesday night and took the train home. The car, driven by Ann Cowan, Mrs Cowan’s daughter, overturned after a tire blowout.

WPA Reorganization Affects Alliance in Nebraska
