A Nebraska woman aids blind readers with Braille work

Mrs. Ludwig A. Schroeder of Sidney has volunteered since 1960 with the Board of Missions for the Blind of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. She transcribes Junior Sunday School lessons into Braille, learning about 40 symbols, punching raised dots, and sending finished pages to distant readers, sometimes reaching Hong Kong. She works daily in her trailer home at Parkway Trailer Court, dedicating about 1.5 hours per day and producing roughly three pages per sitting.
