Notice of Registration For Labor
Fiveryman and boy in Cheyenne County who has passed his sixteenth birthday is to be registered on Tuesday June 18 regardless of occupation physical condition or previous registry in military or labor reserves. The objects are to find how much labor can be made available for necessary industries in case of necessity and to provide a working list of such labor so that it may be mobilized quickly. Registration in Sidney is from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the County Agent office in the basement of the Court House. In country districts registration is at the school house from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The local registering officer will return to the County Council of Defense a list of those failing to register.

Two Cheyenne County Men Indicted for Espionage Acts
Charles McKee and George W. Davis of Cheyenne County were indicted by the Federal Grand Jury in Omaha on May 28th on three counts each under the espionage act for attempting to cause disloyalty and mutiny obstructing recruitment and interfering with military forces. Released on $5,000 bonds, they pact to stand trial at North Platte on June 24th. Mrs. Whitman, mother of Mrs. Miles of Brideport, remains seriously ill as Mrs. Miles visits frequently.
