Out Of The Old West Deaths At Fort Robinson Saloon Brawl
Special dispatch from Fort Robinson describes a bloody clash at a near Fort Robinson saloon on a September 26 night. Cowboys and soldiers fought after a drunken Mexican drew a revolver, leaving Ed Collins mortally wounded, Jim Joyce killed, Page shooting Joyce, and Sergeant Green wounded and later amputated. A lynch threat hung over Page with chaos spilling into the prairie. Fort Robinson Cemetery notes Corporal Martin V Green died October 25, 1880.
