Open Season Possibility for Pheasants in Forty Counties
Game Warden Frank O Connell said a 30 day open season for pheasants may be feasible next fall in Sherman Valley Howard Hall and Greeley counties. The game commission may authorize an open season in 40 counties. Most seasons would run 10 days. The Nebraska bass fishing season opened Wednesday.

Maley Relapses. Taken to Local Hospital After Minor Crash
S. A. Maley, Sidney land owner and farmer, was moved to a local hospital yesterday morning after a minor automobile accident this week. He sustained rib injuries and bruises but his condition is not serious and rest is advised. Leonard Walker of Las Animas Colo nephew of B L Walker head of Sidney Motor Sales was praised after saving George Cook from drowning in Blue Lake eight miles northwest of Las Animas.
