Commencement Honors for Sidney High Class of 1905
The Sidney High School graduation in Tobin Opera House on June 2 featured six seniors six students four girls and two boys led by Ida L Hammer who earned a one hundred dollar scholarship. Speakers included Clayton Radcliffe Mary M. Eppe Lena Jessen and Ira M. Kline with musical numbers and a benediction.

Prof Danforth, principal of the Sidney Schools for three years, has been elected to head Tecumseh Nebraska schools. The announcement follows his unsolicited offer and his request to be released from Sidney to assume the Tecumseh role. Local board granted release with regret.

A Wednesday courthouse meeting in Sidney elected Chas. Chilahan chair and M. O. Sager secretary for a large Fourth of July event. Colton School Observe Year End Program
The Colton schoolhouse held a closing program Wednesday evening with recitations choruses and dialogues by the scholars under Miss Grace Hart. Willie Krueger won the top spelling prize earning a gold watch charm amid friendly rivalry. The event ended with a social hour and the school board plans to renew Miss Hart’s contract next year and she has been invited to lead a department in a neighboring town.

The June 5 1905 meeting of the County Board of Sidney Nebraska approved raising road deposits from 15 to 25 dollars. Eric O Lif appointed road overseer for Weir and Lisco precincts after bond approval. Surprise Party in Bronson Reflects Small Town Fair
A Sunday gathering in Bronson saw locals ride to Musheid ranch with festivities led by the Bertramean Bros. Young riders enjoyed the day while older residents shared jokes in the shade. Rudolph Perso won high praise as others sought lighthearted fun including a wandering “Weary Willie.” The Bronson youths earned praise from the visiting party and the day ended with thanks to the Bertramson brothers.

Young man detained for larceny after French leave
A Ruasela migrant working for Dan Bergman absconded early Wednesday with clothing, a suit, a case, and papers worth over a thousand dollars. He was stopped near Fremont, held by Sheriff Lee, and brought before Judge Tucker. Convicted and released on $2,000 bond, he failed to post it and was jailed for safe keeping ahead of the next district court term.
