Hearing Friday on Sioux Depot land attached to school districts
A public hearing is set for Friday June 7 at 2 p.m. in the Cheyenne County Courthouse to attach about 16 000 acres of the former Sioux Army Depot to nearby school districts 138 Gurley 77 75 76 and 166 and possibly non adjacent districts. The Cheyenne County Reorganization Committee will preside and assess which portions go to which districts after public input and an eventual tax appraisal.

District Chiefs Named By Lions at Nebraska State Convention
Five new district governors were elected Sunday at the Nebraska State Lions Convention. William Heitman of Crete heads the Lincoln area district.
