Companion cropping boosts year round garden output
Agricultural guidance for Cheyenne Co farmers explains how southern, middle, and New England gardens differ in season length and crop options. It covers companion planting between rows of onions, carrots, peas, beans, and tomatoes, plus late plantings of beets and corn to extend fresh harvests through most of the year. It emphasizes soil fertility, simple tricks to preserve moisture, and forming co operative organizations to improve marketing and farming support.

Two Hens For Each A Back Yard Egg Plan
The average novice can reasonably expect at least ten dozen eggs per hen per year from a small backyard flock. With two hens per family member this yields 20 dozen eggs annually per person, a midpoint between farm and city consumption. Poultry specialists from the United States Department of Agriculture advise no keeper should have fewer than this and urge maximizing production. To provide an egg a day per person, two hens must lay 183 eggs annually.
