Wheat allotment payments to Nebraska farmers rise
Compliance with the wheat allotment contract earns the second installment of the 1933 payment and the first of 1934. These checks, expected to total about 5 to 6 million dollars statewide this summer and fall, follow by three more payments in 1935 if wheat stays below parity. If wheat reaches parity, farmers receive a higher price instead of the lower price plus benefits.
