Forger Captured Then Escapes and Is Recaptured
A young man posed as a buyer and formed purchases at Oberfelder & Co. using a forged 62 check drawn on Kimball bank. After capture in Lexington, he escaped at Lodge Pole, was recaptured at Chappell, and bound over to district court. Another victim, Cr Metty of Lodge Pole, reported similar swindle. The suspect, also known as C J Carl, worked for Kimball cook J J Kinney and used aliases Martina Brewster.

Cattle dispute ends in assault charge over herd
Charley Nelson bought seventy five head of cattle from Peter Smith. At the Smith ranch range he attempted to move the cattle when Mrs. Smith’s son blocked the seizure and a blow struck him.
