Gas House Gang remembered by longtime Sidney observer
Telegraph Sports Editor recalls the Gas House Gang era from 1966 to 1969 in Sidney Legion baseball. They dominated regular seasons, won the 1966 Alliance Fourth of July Tournament, and drew crowds with a Broadway like flair. They faded after 1966, but remain a legendary local memory and standard by which later teams are measured.
