Conn Killed By Eastbound Train Near Ogallala
Robert Conn former Sidney resident living in Columbus Nebraska was killed instantly when struck by Union Pacific eastbound train No. 8 a few miles east of Ogallala while inspecting a bridge. He tried to lift his bike from the track but was struck before stopping. He leaves a wife and twelve year old son.

County Board Awards Road Damages and Reflooring Contract
Sidney Neb July 23 1906 the county board awarded Charley Erickson forty dollars for four acres taken by a public road and awarded Bridgeport Lumber Company the contract to re floor the Bridgeport Bridge after bond approval. Claims were audited and bridge funds allocated with action on road petition No 147 by Nick Mahv re a new route from section 1 to section 6 in town 12 range 40. Board adjourned to August 7 1906.
