One Day Session Revises Camp Clark Precinct Boundary

Sidney Nebraska July 20 1907 official proceedings show the board meeting with W C Dugger chairman approving Roy Durkee as deputy county clerk. Claims were audited and allowed for sheriff deputy officials and public works, including road and bridge funds. Also petitions on irrigation district hearing adjournment and Camp Clark precinct boundary change granted. Local notes report stockman Len Sherwin and H J Sutherland buying cattle and George Hower hiring Sam Sweet for a cement block dwelling.

Strong Financial Showing in County Treasurer Report

The semi annual statement of County Treasurer Greenlee shows county affairs in excellent condition with all debts paid except a few bonds. Cash on hand in county and school district funds totals 620,699.05 and six months’ receipts amount to 129,303.39 bringing total in care of the treasurer to 128,054.09.

Sidney's Paces Rapid in Lodgepole Blowout

Lodgepole polers visited Sidney and were routed 14 to 8 as Sidney topped them at home. John McIntosh umpired and kept calls fair though tempers flickered late. Sidney led from the start with solid hitting and defense, Bolgar to Kidd among the standout names on the home club.

Railroad notes mark interstate rate changes and Burlington activity

Interstate passenger rates took effect across Nebraska Iowa Illinois Missouri Minnesota Wisconsin and the Dakotas. Burlington right of way deals with F B Bullard and a Lincoln Land Co town site were noted as construction nears. Union Pacific resumes North River line work from O Fallon s to Northport with sixty foreign workers and an operator at O Fallon s next week. Large railroad ties and materials are being unloaded at O Fallon s Junction.
